The Academy
Training for videographers who want more than beautiful images. Ten years of work for the biggest names in the Netherlands and for businesses, reduced to what you really need: an eye, a method and a way to make it your profession.
What you learn
Four parts that together form one craft. Hover a part to see what it covers.
Camera & light
Working with cinema cameras, lens choice and light that makes a brand look serious.

Directing on location
Leading a shoot day at a company: preparation, putting people at ease, hitting the shotlist.

Edit & grade
Rhythm, sound and color grading: where good footage becomes a film.

Clients & rates
How to find clients, sell your work and build monthly collaborations.

From first masterclass to paid assignment
The Academy is not a course you finish but a path you walk. Every step builds on the previous one, and the last step pays back the rest.
Masterclasses
One subject, one evening, all of it. The masterclasses are separate sessions in which I unpack one part of the craft: light, directing, sales or editing. Come in with questions, go home with a method.
Skill Days
A full day of practice on location. Camera in hand, a real assignment, direct feedback. Not watching how I do it, but doing it while I watch. Whoever brings the theory from a masterclass practises it here.
Skill Week
Five days of the complete method, from briefing to delivery. Together we shoot a real assignment for a real company: concept, shoot day, edit and delivery. At the end you have a film you can show.
Certification
After the Skill Week I assess both your eye and your method: plan, image, edit and how you guide a client. Those who pass receive The Academy certificate. Not a paper diploma but a standard clients recognise.
Collaboration
Certified? Then it begins. You become eligible for paid collaborations: assisting on set, assignments from my network and later your own clients under The Academy flag. Learning is the path, working is the goal.
